Dear Friend,
Hi I am founder of this website.
My sincere request is that always provide maximum information if you need a appropriate solution. Also if you guys want to remain anonymous its also possible thru the options mentioned during forum posting.
Anyway the control is just one part of the complete process you also need to check is your ae/ap the toolpaths, the tool holding and the tool quality, speed feed of the tools, etc..
What I feel from here is that probably I assume you know these things very well and you have taken care of this in the process and still you are facing problems. One of the possible thing is check your CAD file if you are converting it from some different package to a different packages then check the surfaces imported are good enough or not.
Software are tools to enhance your productivity and not to replace humans so every care has to be taken by you before performing any task. Secondly CAM packages create meshes and not surfaces so there are chances that there is some loss of data there. Analise the import of the cad file before starting the CAM programming.
I also know one software Depocam where in the surface can be smoothen withing a selective range this will also help your surface finish problems.
Check where you are going wrong now a days every CAD/CAM company provides a superb services in case of such problems get in touch with the company whose package you are using they might help you better.

Poor Surface Finish

We are using the latest machine with Siemens 840D control and a list of CAM packages but the Finish Surface is poor we always get problems on surface finish on smooth curvature and even on plane angular surfaces.
What are the possibilities of these problems.
Could someone help us.

Can someone tell us more on the controllers that are capable of using 5 axis motion control.
What are the features essential for programming of 5 axis machines.
Who are 5 axis machine manufacturers, which machines are better for turbine blade manufacturing.

Dear Guest,
Your question is incomplete I mean, what exactly are you looking for are you looking for 5 axis simultaneous or 5 axis continues CAM system. Secondly which is the controller and what kind of machine is it 5 Axis Rambaudi style head moving or table movements.
Could you please answer this details so that some one can answer your queries.
If you are looking for 3+2 CAM system then I can give you demo of Depocam a very user friendly CAM from UK.
You can see the cam details @ www.ncgraphics.net
Regards
Noel
